❤️ The Story Behind TR8
TR8 was born out of frustration with a particularly stubborn Sheltie named Pixie.
When ordinary treat machines couldn’t deliver rewards that were valuable enough, we built one that could. Because sometimes the difference between “maybe” and “come here right now” is a piece of sausage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get all the tray sizes, and are they interchangeable?
Yes. All three platter sizes are fully interchangeable and swap out in seconds. I also include adapters that resize the dispensing hole, so you can match the opening to your treat — from small crate treats up to large sausage chunks.
What information does the Smart Remote display?
The Smart Remote shows remaining treats and battery level for both the remote and the treat machine, and it can also display temperature and sound level. Range is a major advantage: expect around 50 meters at ground level and up to roughly 100 meters in direct line of sight. (I’m also testing off-the-shelf remotes to offer a good long-range option.)
Is there a protective case or enclosure?
Not yet — we’re currently looking for manufacturing partners for a case. If you’d like to collaborate, get in touch.
Does it come with a standard 433 MHz remote?
The base unit (€120) comes with phone and online control. For an extra €10 I’ll add a 433 MHz remote and receiver. You can also pair any standard 433 MHz remote — the pairing options are built right into the phone interface.
This first batch of TR8 Machines are priced as advanced beta testing units. We want as much feedback as possible but we consider them as reliable as can be. The online interface is free for the lifetime of the product which might not be the case in the future.
